Brazil reverses suspension of three meat processing plants by Chinese authorities.

The Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (ABIEC) celebrates the decision by Chinese authorities to reinstate the authorizations of the three Brazilian meat processing plants that had been temporarily suspended since March 2025.

This measure represents an important achievement for the sector and reinforces China’s confidence in the Brazilian sanitary system and the quality of beef produced in Brazil.

The reversal of the suspension is a direct result of the work conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), which has been working intensively with Chinese authorities in recent months. ABIEC congratulates Minister André de Paula, the ministry’s technical teams, and the Brazilian government for the negotiations carried out directly in Beijing, which were fundamental to the resumption of operations at Brazilian plants.

The resumption of exports from these plants reinforces the strength of the commercial relationship between Brazil and China and demonstrates the capacity for dialogue, coordination, and technical response built by Brazil with the main destination for Brazilian beef in the international market.

The plants with reinstated permits are JBS, in Mozarlândia (GO), Frisa, in Nanuque (MG), and Bon-Mart Frigorífico, in Presidente Prudente (SP).
