The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (SAGyP) of the Ministry of Economy has officially awarded the export quota for boneless beef to the United States for the 2026 trade cycle.
The measure was formalized through Resolution 8/2026, published in the Official Gazette, authorizing the shipment of a total of 19,956.345 tons of fresh, chilled, or frozen beef cuts.
This allocation is part of the annual 20,000-ton tariff-rate quota granted to Argentina by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) under the framework of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT).
Key Distribution Highlights:
The 2026 quota has been organized into two primary categories to ensure a balanced market approach:
- Industry Category: Allocated 19,000 tons, representing the bulk of the commercial volume.
- Joint Projects: Allocated 1,000 tons, focusing on collaborative ventures and specialized initiatives.
The official resolution defines the authorized volumes for the shipment of boneless cuts, ensuring that Argentine producers can meet the demand of the American market within the established trade cycle.
