Danish Crown elected the new board of directors

Danish Crown’s newly elected board of representatives gathered this week at the head office in Randers to elect owner representatives for the new board of directors.

The future board of directors of Danish Crown will consist of five external members and five owner-elected members, as well as three employee representatives. This week, the board of representatives met in Randers to elect the owner representatives who will serve on the board for the next two years.

It was a given in advance that Karsten Willumsen, by virtue of his chairmanship in the Livestock Forum, was one of five owner-elected board members. This meant that the pig producers’ four mandates had to be filled, and by virtue of the new governance model there was free election in the board of representatives and not as in the previous elections in the districts. Knud Jørgen Lei announced before the election that he chose not to run again. The elected were:

  • Soren Bonde
  • Ulrik Bremholm
  • Jonas W. Midtgaard
  • Daniel O. Pedersen
  • Karsten Willumsen (chairman of the Livestock Forum)

The alternates were Kim Kjær Knudsen and Aage Lauritzen as the 1st and 2nd alternates, respectively.

The five owner-elected representatives met with the rest of the board on Thursday, December 19th to constitute themselves.
